Flatland Pointers and Boxers will ship a puppy to you if needed.  We use Great Lakes Airlines out of Hays, KS.  Our puppies fly on Continental flighs only as the puppies are assured to be well looked after while in their "Pet Safe Program".  Continental Airlines, has special arrangements for the shipping and handling of it's animal cargo.  They transport the animals to the airplane in air conditioned or heated vans.  The cabins where they keep the live cargo are properly air conditioned or heated.   Puppy shipment will also include a form of insurance called "Declared Value".  A value of $1,000.00 is placed on the puppy.  If the puppy becomes lost or death or injury occurs during in the care of the airlines, the receiver or shipper must provide proof of the value of the shipment/puppy to settle a claim (ie: your bill of sale).

The price for shipment is as follows:

Airline Ticket = $275.00 (Subject to change depending on location and time of
the year as ticket prices rise and fall.)

Crate = $50.00 (airline approved, medium sized crate)

TOTAL SHIPMENT CHARGE = $325.00 (If your puppy must fly, payment for puppy and shipping is due when the pups reach the age of six weeks old so that arrangements for their flight tickets can be made.)

Once we have recieved your payment in full for both the puppy and the cost of shipment we will send your puppy on the soonest flight to your closest airport.  When your puppy arrives you will find with it the crate, dog food and water dishes, a bag of dog food, and it's health certificate from Oakley Veterinary Services, P.A.  USDA will not allow anything else to fly with the puppy.  All paperwork (reciept, registration papers, shot records, etc.) has to be mailed to you seperately.  If you have any further questions or concerns please feel free to contact us and we will be happy to assist you.

Additional Notes:

The Boxer is classified as a snub nosed breed and therefore airlines have strict shipping guidelines on this breed of dog.  The airlines require that the temperature be within 40 to 75 degrees or they will not ship a Boxer.  For this reason, please remember that we will do everything in our power to get your puppy to you as soon as possible, but sometimes a little patience with mother nature may be required.
